Dr. Marko Kamel and our team at Woodbury Dental Arts want you to smile more, and be proud of how your smile looks. After all, research indicates that those who smile often tend to be happier* in life. Cosmetic dental services such as porcelain veneers, Lumineers® and Snap-On Smile® are advanced techniques we use here in our practice to enhance the smile, giving you a giant boost in confidence and self-esteem, and a vibrant, youthful appearance.
At Woodbury Dental Arts, each cosmetic case begins with a personalized smile consultation, so that Dr. Kamel can fully understand your cosmetic desires and current state of oral health. Together, we will create the ideal solution for designing your very best smile. Cosmetic dental treatment plans often include popular techniques, like the following:
Porcelain veneers are thin, shell-like restorations custom-crafted to fit over the front portions of teeth in the smile line. Porcelain veneers can change the size, shape, and color of your smile. This highly esthetic option is ideal for covering stained, cracked or chipped teeth and reshaping the length and width of teeth to create a balanced, beautiful smile. To prepare your teeth for veneers, Dr. Kamel removes a small amount of tooth structure, which ensures a nice, even fit. Porcelain veneers are permanently bonded to the front of teeth, and typically last about 10 years.
Similar to porcelain veneers, Lumineers are ultra-thin restorations bonded directly to the outward-facing surfaces of the front teeth, often from canine to canine. Lumineers are unique in that they do not require any reduction of the tooth structure, and therefore are completely reversible. These extremely cosmetic restorations are recommended when spacing between teeth, lightly stained or yellow teeth, or uneven teeth are a concern. Lumineers generally have a lifespan of around 20 years.
